Our innovative Vertical Inlaid Fiber (VIF) system is the world’s leading solution for versatile, cost effective fiber optic network deployments and is fully scalable to meet future fiber optic network requirements. Vertical Inlaid Fiber Networks are micro-trenched in the top 30cm of a “hard” concrete, asphalt or “soft” boulevard infrastructure, with over 2,000lbs/linear inch of protection provided by our rugged two piece Vertcial Deflecting Conduit (VDC). Customers have the ultimate in deployment flexibility as fiber optic cables may be zipped, pulled or blown with all networks being well protected against frost, construction and compression damage.
TeraSpan’s technology, including our complete set of accessories and tools, provides operators the ability to branch, extend and repair existing networks, and provides greater flexibility in the design and deployment of fiber optic solutions. Deployment may be completed with smaller crews, less equipment and minimal disruption to the surrounding environment and most importantly, leaves existing roadways, sidewalks and landscaping intact. At regular intervals, Cylindrical Access Nodes (CANs) are deployed to allow for more accessibility, and in turn, inexpensive additions to the network. Furthermore, TeraSpan’s VIF system provides a redundant configuration at a competitive price.
Given its superior accessibility, maintenance and servicing of the networks is quicker and easier than traditional trenching and drastically reduces the cost, time and complexity of fiber optic network deployment.
TeraSpan's VIF system is the premier solution for service between buildings.
